Each year the festival curates a selection of the best contemporary French films screen over eight weeks in eight major cities: Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Canberra, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Perth and Hobart.
The festival also includes glamorous opening nights, Q&As and special events with renowned figures of French film.
The annual festival is a collaboration between the Embassy of France in Australia and six Alliances Françaises around the country.

The Industrie du Reve festival is an annual meeting for all the film industry professionals (artists and technicians).
Etablished in 2000, L’industrie du rêve Festival gives eah year all filmmakers a platform to discuss and share their experiences and question technical mutations and revolutions in the industry.
The festival also organises workshops with highly experienced filmmakers to encourage knowledge transfer between the yound and the old generations.
The festival celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2011 with an anniversary book.

Viens Lire au Louvre is a one year event with many workshops and a show at the end of the year.
Based on an interpreted reading initiation, this project encourages the development of a multidisciplinary educational project focused on a theme.
This project has several educational objectives, such as the discovery of literary texts and the development of reading taste.
At the end of the year students organise a show at the Auditorium of the Louvre museum.
